   Student-led bill passed House Education Committee - varsity = PE credit.

   HB 1008 would allow varsity sports to satisfy 0.5 PE graduation credit

   $250 traditional performance award cap (NIL earnings unlimited)

 What South Dakota prohibits

    No school identity - school names, nicknames, logos prohibited

   "Uniform Ban" - school insignia in ads = "Class A" violation and immediate ineligibility

   No facility usage - school property requires public rental agreement

   $250 traditional award cap for performance prizes

   Vice bans: Adult entertainment, alcohol, tobacco/vaping, cannabis (strictly enforced), gambling/sports betting, weapons/firearms
