Summary

Would REVERSE Ohio's November 2025 legalization of high school NIL and bar middle and high school athletes from earning NIL compensation. This is currently the most significant anti-NIL legislation in the country.

Key Provisions

Complete Reversal

Would override the OHSAA's November 24, 2025 vote that legalized high school NIL.

Middle School Included

Explicitly extends ban to middle school athletes as well.

State Law Override

Would supersede OHSAA bylaws with state statute, making reversal difficult.

Current Law

Ohio legalized high school NIL on November 24, 2025 after Brown v. OHSAA lawsuit. Athletes must disclose deals within 14 days via OHSAA portal. Collectives are banned.

Potential Impact

If passed, would make Ohio the first state to REVERSE previously granted NIL rights. Current athletes like Jamier Brown (whose lawsuit broke the ban) would lose their ability to earn NIL.
