   MPA Interscholastic Management Committee amended bylaws to permit high school athlete NIL activities under Appendix DD guidelines.

   · College

 ###  Thomas College NIL Initiative

   Thomas College became first D3 school in Maine to offer formal NIL education through Opendorse partnership.

   Thomas College (D3) became first Maine D3 school with NIL education program via Opendorse (November 2025)

   Athletes may profit from use of their own name, image, and likeness

 What Maine prohibits

    No school affiliation - no member school or MPA references in NIL activities

   No use of school uniforms, logos, insignia, or identifying marks in advertisements

   No institutional involvement - coaches, teachers, ADs cannot arrange or promote deals

   No use of school facilities for commercial endorsements

   Prohibited categories: Adult entertainment, alcohol, tobacco/vaping/nicotine, cannabis, pharmaceuticals, gambling/lottery, weapons/firearms
