College Law Repealed
Alabama repealed its own NIL law via HB 76 as NCAA's interim policy was more lenient than state law.
2024
First HS Attempt Failed
Rep. Jeremy Gray introduced first major high school NIL bill. Failed to pass committee.
2025
HB 489 Failed
Rep. Gray's second attempt with "safety rails" (no school logos, no pay-for-play). Died in House committee.

Rep. Gray introduced new bill, currently in House Education Policy Committee.
